Integral to the Gigamon Deep Observability Pipeline for hybrid cloud, GigaVUE visibility appliances deliver consistent insight into all data traversing your network nodes and broader network, including data center and remote sites. Enhance coverage and control to secure and manage your hybrid cloud infrastructure and business assets.
GigaVUE® HC Series and GigaVUE TA Series visibility appliances enable you to:
Achieve deep observability with intelligent appliances that deliver high performance with consistent insight into all data-in-motion across your network.
Gain seamless control, coverage, and performance
Deliver only relevant traffic streams and network-derived intelligence to your tools
Filter and decrypt traffic flows before they reach security and analytics tools
Obfuscate private and sensitive data before sending to your tools and storage
GigaVUE HC Series visibility appliances offer scalable traffic intelligence for small-to-large enterprises, public sector organizations, and service providers.
Gain deep observability into your hybrid cloud infrastructure by aggregating multiple network links and locations and feeding combined traffic to Gigamon appliances or other security and monitoring tools.
Aggregate traffic from network TAPs, SPAN ports and virtual traffic sources
Selectively filter and forward traffic with Flow Mapping, GigaStream and tunneling
Scale visibility from “TAP to Tool” across hundreds of nodes with Clustering and Fabric Maps
Edge traffic aggregation and deep observability for small-to-large enterprises, and service providers.
Physical nodes play a key role in the Gigamon Deep Observability Pipeline. These nodes are directly connected to your network, allowing them to collect and analyze traffic data, forward traffic, and protect sensitive data before it’s sent to the appropriate tools.
Physical nodes operate on GigaVUE-OS. Once network data has been collected, it can be aggregated and forwarded to the appropriate tools. This enhanced network visibility helps you optimize your network and protect against potential threats.
There are two types of nodes you can use to monitor and manage network traffic: physical nodes and virtual nodes. Physical nodes are physical devices that connect to your network to monitor and reroute traffic, while virtual nodes and network taps use software to monitor and reroute traffic.
Both types of nodes can play a key role in network security depending on your network infrastructure. GigaVUE virtual nodes are more convenient, while physical nodes provide more reliable and complete network data.
GigaVUE captures traffic from physical nodes that are connected to your network by monitoring packets and rerouting them to the appropriate application(s). Potential threats can be forwarded to the appropriate security applications, and network traffic can be prioritized based on importance.
The data collected by these physical nodes can be used to eliminate security blind spots, optimize network traffic, and reduce resource costs. Deep observability is one of the key aspects of creating a zero trust network.
A hybrid cloud environment is a combination of public and private clouds, giving you more flexibility. Physical nodes can be connected to the private cloud, which is the on-prem portion of your cloud system. You can then use virtual nodes to monitor the virtual portion of your hybrid cloud system.
Combining different types of network taps is an essential part of monitoring traffic in hybrid cloud environments because it allows you to monitor both public and private cloud systems. When you pair virtual and physical taps with the GigaVUE Cloud Suite, you can use network-derived intelligence to protect and enhance your network.
The GigaVUE Cloud Suite has helped countless organizations create a better and more secure network, but we understand if you want to give GigaVUE Visibility Appliances a try before you make a commitment.
