GigaVUE-HC1-Plus
A higher-capacity 1RU platform offering up to 1.8 Tbps of throughput and 192 ports, supporting 1 Gb to 100 Gb speeds. It is designed for dense, high-performance environments.
GigaVUE-HC3
A 3RU, enterprise-grade visibility node delivering up to 6.4 Tbps of throughput with 384 ports, supporting 10 Gb to 100 Gb links. It is optimized for large data centers and service provider networks.
GigaVUE-HCT
A half-width 1RU platform optimized for edge, tactical, or space-constrained deployments. It delivers up to 500 Gbps with 68 ports, supporting speeds from 10/100 Mb to 100 Gb, and supports interchangeable modules with the HC1 and HC1-Plus platforms.
Installing a GigaVUE HC Series appliance involves both physical setup and initial configuration, and detailed instructions can be found in the installation guides for GigaVUE-HC1, GigaVUE-HC1-Plus, GigaVUE-HC3, and GigaVUE-HCT.
At a high level, installing a GigaVUE HC Series appliance consists of rack mounting, module installation (hot swappable), grounding, and console port connections, which are all discussed in the hardware installation guides. Initial CLI configuration uses the jump start script, which runs in Configure mode. It guides you to set admin passwords, management interface settings, hostname, cluster options, NTP, SSH, and ports. Gigamon support is always available for additional assistance.
The GigaVUE HC Series appliances are designed to enable advanced traffic visibility, aggregation, filtering, and manipulation in enterprise and service provider networks. These appliances are often used to optimize and secure monitoring, performance, and security tools. To see more detailed use cases, visit our tech hub and filter use cases based on your needs.
