Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Statement explains the information Gigamon collects from you. This statement applies to Gigamon’s interactions with you through your use of any of our Insight products, services, SaaS or applications (including a proof of concept) in any manner (“Insight” or “Insight Services” or “Services”).
DATA YOU PROVIDE TO US
When you use the Insight Services: Gigamon receives and stores information you provide directly to us. For example, when setting up new users, we collect personal data, such as name and email address, to provide them with Services. The types of information we may collect directly from our customers (organizations) and their users include: names, usernames, email addresses, postal addresses, phone numbers, job titles, organizational name, transactional information (including Services purchased), as well as any other contact or other information they choose to provide us or upload to our systems in connection with the Services.
Organizations using Gigamon Insight Services who elect features, such as those that capture a complete packet from a selective packet capture, should be aware that additional personal data will be collected, processed, and stored as a result. Data types included in the selective packet capture depend on data provided by the organization.
DATA GIGAMON AUTOMATICALLY COLLECTS
When you use the Insight Services: By nature of Insight Services provided, the Gigamon Software as a Service (SaaS) automatically generates de-identified usage data based on Customer’s use of the Services (“Usage Data”). Usage Data is used by Gigamon to manage and maintain the quality of the service. Usage Data is defined as the de-identified, anonymized, and aggregated data collected by Gigamon from Customer’s use of the Gigamon SaaS service. Usage Data shall be deemed property of Gigamon and is not considered Customer’s data.
When you use the Insight Services: Gigamon uses your personally identifiable information primarily to provide you with the Website and to provide customized content on the Website that may be of interest to you. The information is also used to verify your authority to access the Website and to contact you when reasonably necessary. Gigamon may also use any information you have provided as reasonably necessary to administer or provide customer support for the and Insight Services, and to provide you with periodic printed or e-mail communications about new products and services, discounts, special promotions or upcoming events.
When you use the Insight Services: If you would like to view, correct, delete, or export personal data that you have submitted through the Insight Services, please contact your organization’s Services administrator (your data controller) to make your request. Gigamon is a data processor for all Insight Services. Please read Notice to End User below.
If you use an email address provided by an organization you are affiliated with, such as an employer, to access Services, that organization can:
Control and administer your Services account; and
Access and process your data, including the contents of your communications and files, associated with your Services accounts.
If you lose access to your organization (in event of change of employment, for example), you will lose access to Services. Gigamon Insight Services are intended for use by organizations. If your organization provides you access to Insight Services your use of the Insight Services is subject to your organization's policies, if any. You should direct your privacy inquiries, including any requests to exercise your data protection rights, to your organization’s administrator. Gigamon is not responsible for the privacy or security practices of our customers, which may differ from those set forth in this privacy statement.
Gigamon is committed to protecting the security of your personal data. We use technical and organizational measures (TOMs) to help protect your personal data from unauthorized access, use or disclosure. For example, we store the personal data you provide on computer systems that have limited access and are in controlled facilities. Please note that Gigamon cannot guarantee the security of user account information. Unauthorized entry or use, hardware or software failure, and other factors may compromise the security of user information at any time.
GIGAMON transfers data from the point of collection to Gigamon data centers in the United States where the data is processed and stored.
Gigamon retains personal data for as long as necessary to provide the Insight Services and fulfill the transactions you have requested, or for other legitimate purposes such as complying with our legal obligations, resolving disputes, and enforcing our agreements. Because these needs can vary for different data types, the context of our interactions with you or your use of Insight Services, actual retention periods may vary.

The Insight Services are hosted in the United States. If you are visiting from the European Union (EU) or other regions with laws governing data collection and use that may differ from U.S. law, please note that you are transferring your personal data to the United States which does not have the same data protection laws as the EU and by providing your personal data you consent to:
