GigaVUE-FM fabric manager simplifies and automates the configuration, management, and operation of the Gigamon Deep Observability Pipeline, with unified visibility across physical, virtual, and multi-cloud deployments. Its intent-based policy automation approach enables NetOps, SecOps, and CloudOps teams to be more efficient at creating and deploying policies at scale based on their roles. A centralized, rich, and customizable dashboard provides easy-to-use programmable APIs for ease of integration with tools and SDN controllers, role-based access control, end-to-end topology visualization, simplified workflows, external SNMP support, and alarm management to reduce mean time to resolution.
Network Security
Detect, react, and respond to emerging threats using packet or flow-based traffic analysis
Public and Private Cloud
Automatically monitor and secure physical, virtual, and cloud workload traffic with ease
Network Operations
Configure, direct, and control traffic in the network with the relevant monitoring and analysis tools
InfoSec and NetOps
Identify, monitor, and troubleshoot traffic hot spots to reduce mean time to repair (MTTR)
Program traffic policies to respond to new threat patterns, such as decrypting SSL/TLS, generating NetFlow, or even blocking flows in the network
Update traffic flows in Gigamon Hawk for network traffic redirection or reduction
Discover and collect inventory information of Gigamon Hawk to be used for capacity planning or configuration management database (CMDB) analysis
“Because we are able to see and we are able to secure, we can do a better job of protecting and securing sustainable growth of our revenue.”
"Gigamon has stayed in lockstep with our environments as we’ve migrated from various architectures to include on-premises to the cloud. The consistency and reliability of traffic flows, due to the Gigamon solutions, enable us to make business-driven decisions without compromising IT security."
[We use] centralized orchestration FM to manage our gear and customize our map flows...We are defining and setting up containers and filters for gigastream traffic so that we can manage and facilitate the traffic to send a copy to other monitoring tools... We are also working towards getting all the optical taps installed so that we can obtain a copy of the inline traffic on the wire to be forwarded to the GigaSmart engine to perform dedup, header-stripping and packet slicing, etc.
