Paul Hooper is the CEO of Gigamon, and was previously the Vice President of Marketing and Product Management. Paul is a networking and high tech industry veteran who joined Gigamon from Extreme Networks where he held numerous executive positions including Chief Marketing Officer, Vice President and General Manager for the Volume Products Group, and Chief Information Officer. Paul has held a broad range of leadership positions in marketing, product development, business management, and information technology within a range of organizations including Extreme Networks, myCFO, Inc., JDS Uniphase, Netscape Communications, and Sun Microsystems.
Shane Buckley is President and Chief Operating Officer of Gigamon with responsibility for expanding the company’s business and markets worldwide. He brings more than 20 years of executive management experience to the team and joins Gigamon from Xirrus where he was CEO prior to its 2017 acquisition by Riverbed Technology. Prior to that, Shane served as the General Manager and Senior Vice President at NETGEAR, where he led its commercial business unit to 50 percent revenue growth over two years. Before NETGEAR, Shane was President and CEO of Rohati Systems, a leader in cloud-based access management solutions, and COO at Nevis Networks, a leader in secure switching and access control. Shane is a graduate of engineering from the Cork Institute of Technology in Ireland.
Dave Arkley is the CFO at Gigamon with responsibility for finance and accounting, information technology and manufacturing. He brings more than 20 years of financial, technological and operational experience to Gigamon. Prior to joining Gigamon, Dave served as CFO at IDS, a global fintech leader that proves software and solutions to the banking and financial services industries. Dave also served as CFO at Vertafore, the PE-backed leading provider of cloud-based software and services to the insurance industry with over 25,000 customers. Dave was critical part of the company's $2.7B sale from TPG to Bain Capital and Vista Equity Partners. Dave’s role as CFO also includes such companies as Edifecs, Parallels and Itron.
Burney Barker is Senior Vice President of World Wide Sales. He is a career sales leader with over 25 years of sales, management and leadership experience in well- known technology brands. Prior to Gigamon, Burney spent seven years at Dell EMC in roles of increasing impact, ranging from Vice President of Partners and Alliances to his most recent role as Senior Vice President of Global Sales for the Converged Platforms and Solutions Division. Previously he held global account management roles at EMC and sales management roles at AT&T. Burney received an MBA and B.S. in Management Information Systems from Kennesaw State University.
Kim DeCarlis is the Chief Marketing Officer at Gigamon with responsibility for all marketing activities, including communications, corporate marketing, demand generation, field marketing, channel marketing, product marketing, product management and marketing operations. Prior to joining Gigamon, Kim served as CMO at Imperva; VP of Worldwide Marketing at BMC; VP of Corporate Marketing at Citrix; and SVP of Product Marketing at Information Resources, Inc. With more than 25 years’ experience in marketing, sales, and management, Kim has also held positions at Saba, Documentum, IBM and Xerox. Currently, she serves on the Boards of Directors for the Children’s Discovery Museum of San Jose, and Girls in Tech, as well as the Advisory Board of Entytle, Inc. Kim holds a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University.
As Chief People Officer, Rich is responsible for shaping Gigamon’s Culture and Employee Experiences. Prior to joining Gigamon in 2013, he served as Vice President of HR for Yahoo’s Worldwide Sales Organization. During his career at Yahoo, he also lead the HR functions for International, Global Products, and the North America Business. In addition to Yahoo, Rich has held significant leadership positions at eBay, Packeteer, and Bay Networks. He holds an MBA in Organizational Studies from Notre Dame de Namur University and a BS in Business from California State University at Chico.
Shehzad Merchant serves as Chief Technology Officer of Gigamon bringing over 20 years of experience in the high-tech industry. Shehzad has a strong background in cyber security, networking and communications. His current areas of focus include cyber defense modeling, policy, as well as security in the world of connected devices. He is the author of several networking, communications and security patents, and is a speaker and panelist at various industry events. Shehzad holds a Masters Degree in Computer Engineering from USC and an Electronic Engineering degree from the University of Mumbai.
Sachi Sambandan is the Sr. Vice President of Engineering. He brings over 25 years of experience in Cloud, Virtualization and Infrastructure domains at leading technology companies. Prior to joining Gigamon, he served as Vice President for VMware’s Hybrid Cloud Services R&D, and before that he was Vice President of engineering at Force10 Networks. Sachi received a Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from the College of Engineering at Guindy, Chennai and went on to earn a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park and a Master's in Business Administration from Santa Clara University.
Paul Shinn is the Chief Legal Officer / Sr. VP of Corporate Development for Gigamon and is charged with managing legal issues that include contracts, governance, compliance, merger & acquisitions, employment, and litigation management. Prior to joining Gigamon, Paul served as Vice President and Associate General Counsel of HP’s Enterprise Group, where he was responsible for driving legal strategy and support across multiple disciplines. He has also held senior legal roles in commercial and corporate, securities and mergers and acquisitions at HP. Prior to joining HP, Paul was senior counsel at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati. Paul received his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame and earned his J.D. from the Santa Clara University School of Law.
