Santa Clara, Calif., (April 25, 2017) – Gigamon Inc. (NYSE: GIMO), the industry leader in traffic visibility solutions, announced today the release of the GigaVUE-HC3, the first high-performance appliance to enable pervasive visibility and security intelligence at scale in 10Gb, 40Gb and 100Gb networks. The new offering extends the Visibility Platform and GigaSMART® technologies with higher compute and throughput performance to effectively manage, secure and analyze high volumes of data in transit across networks.
Organizations are seeing increasing volumes of data-in-motion travelling at higher speeds across on-premise and cloud environments. The volume of data is surpassing the capacity and performance of monitoring and security tools, and as attacks escalate, security teams face increased complexity, higher costs and increasing loss of control. Security and management controls in high-performance networks (40Gb and 100Gb) demand a new approach to identify the “data of interest” rapidly and, in doing so, allow compute-intensive tasks such as SSL/TLS decryption, metadata extraction and targeted application inspection to be performed on the most relevant and valuable streams of data.
The Gigamon GigaVUE-HC3 directly addresses these challenges by offering intelligent visibility at scale and enables IT and security organizations to:
“Organizations that deal with large volumes of network traffic are increasingly concerned about the attack surface posed by high-speed, distributed infrastructure and the ensuing challenges created for network security teams,” said Ananda Rajagopal, vice president of products at Gigamon. “Ensuring visibility and control in such environments is not just about tapping network traffic but also rapidly finding the proverbial needle in the haystack. The GigaVUE-HC3 is the first platform in the industry to provide intelligent visibility at scale.”
The latest addition to the Gigamon H-Series family of products, the GigaVUE-HC3, delivers intelligent visibility at scale for 10Gb, 40Gb and 100Gb networks. The market-leading visibility node capacity provides:
With GigaVUE-HC3, Gigamon offers a complete range of modular visibility nodes from the GigaVUE-HC1 to the GigaVUE-HC3 that enable organizations to expand their Gigamon Visibility Platform as their infrastructure scales in performance and capacity from the world of physical infrastructure to the public cloud.
GigaVUE-HC3 will be generally available in May 2017.
Gigamon (NYSE: GIMO) provides active visibility into physical, virtual and cloud network traffic, enabling stronger security and superior performance. Gigamon’s Visibility Fabric™ and GigaSECURE, the industry’s first Security Delivery Platform, deliver advanced intelligence so that security, network, and application performance management solutions in enterprise, government, and service provider networks operate more efficiently and effectively.
