Peter Warren Singer is a political scientist and renowned author. He has been named by Defense News as one of the 100 most influential people in defense issues and by Foreign Policy to their Top 100 Global Thinkers List. Peter's award-winning books include Cybersecurity and Cyberwar: What Everyone Needs to Know. His past work includes serving at the Office of the Secretary of Defense, and Intelligence at Brookings, where he was the youngest person named senior fellow in its 100 year history.

Shehzad Merchant serves as Chief Technology Officer of Gigamon bringing over 20 years of experience in the high-tech industry. Shehzad has a strong background in cybersecurity, networking and communications. His current areas of focus include cyber defense modeling, policy, as well as security in the world of connected devices. He is the author of several networking, communications and security patents, and is a speaker and panelist at various industry events. Shehzad holds a Masters Degree in Computer Engineering from USC and an Electronic Engineering degree from the University of Mumbai.

General Michael Hayden delivered a timely and relevant keynote looking back at history and the last great age of globalization to figure out what to do now and with the Web, the largest ungoverned space in recorded history and where we put everything we hold valuable.
After a keynote by Brian Krebs of KrebsOnSecurity, we hosted a panel featuring some of the brightest minds in the industry, including Krebs, AT&T CISO and Tag Cyber CEO Dr. Edward Amoroso and former CIGNA CISO Craig Shumard.
Security Leaders Convened for Second Annual Cybersecurity Summit
At our second annual NYC Cybersecurity Summit in Manhattan, Gigamon hosted more than 150 security professionals and 10 of our top ecosystem partners for a program that focused on the latest cyberthreats and how companies can best tackle them.
This half-day event included a keynote by the World's Most Famous Hacker, Kevin Mitnick, who discussed how attackers manipulate their targets and explained what your organization can do to combat them. This event also featured several cybersecurity experts in a panel discussion around "How do we secure what we can't see?" hosted by Gigamon Security Fellow, Simon Gibson.
