INTEROP - New York, October 23, 2007 – Network Critical and Gigamon Systems today announced that the Interop show network, InteropNet, has selected their flagship technologies to form a comprehensive traffic access and analysis system. Combining the solutions of both providers, the system-wide deployment showcases a best-practice approach to enterprise-class network monitoring. InteropNet is using this combined offering to access, manage, and monitor all traffic passing through the NOC, and onto the showroom floor and off-show-floor classrooms and sales/registration offices.
InteropNet has selected Network Critical’s permanent traffic access point (TAP) chassis system, CriticalConneX™, for programmable, full-duplex traffic access throughout the network. Once the Network Critical devices pass all the data to the Gigamon GigaVUE® Data Access Switch, aggregated traffic is filtered and send to the correct tools or capture devices for analysis and monitoring. The data being sent to the analysis and monitoring devices from the GigaVUE® is all transported out-of-band, this protects the production network and data from excessive bandwidth usage and confusing partitioning of real traffic and remote monitored traffic. The Network Critical devices and GigaVUE® can handle 100% of the traffic at line-rate, nothing is lost and all frames are available for review and analysis.
